Cafe Server Part Time (Stockyards YFK)

Stockyards YKF is located in the departure lounge at the Waterloo Region International Airport with flights flying across Canada and internationally. We are a busy quick service restaurant and retail store serving locally roasted coffee and crafted beer with varying hours depending on the flight schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers with a welcoming and friendly demeanor
• Handle customer inquiries and provide excellent service
• Take orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system
• Process payments and handle cash transactions
• Prepare quick service food items following all Health and Safety regulations
• Prepare and serve food and beverages (including alcoholic beverages) promptly
• Always maintain safe and clean environment
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operation
• Adhere to all health & Safety regulations as well as all Transport Canada and Regional regulations.
• Assist in opening and closing procedures

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment
• Able to obtain security clearance with Transport Canada and the Region of Waterloo (*Please note that you must have lived in Canada for 5 years to be eligible*)
• Flexibility to work various shifts including very early mornings early afternoons evenings weekends holidays and in the event of a delay with any of the flights
• Strong multitasking and time management skills
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have (or be able to obtain) your Smart Serve certification & Food Safety Handling Course
• Reliable transportation to and from the airport as bus service is limited and the hours of the shifts dont often line up
