What Youll Do
- Maintain a clean organized and safe laboratory workspace.
- Manage inventories of consumables supplies and sample preparation materials; initiate reorders as needed.
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance for preparation and measurement tools.
- Follow all safety quality and laboratory procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Materials Science Metallurgy Engineering Technology or a related field or equivalent hands-on laboratory experience.
- Experience or training in metallographic sample preparation.
- Familiarity with optical microscopy; exposure to SEM and magnetic measurement techniques preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate data handling.
Skills & Attributes
- Methodical organized approach to laboratory work.
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain consistent sample quality.
- Comfortable supporting multiple projects and managing priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to handle routine laboratory tasks as part of a small team.
Physical Demands
The work environment will be a mix of a typical office environment a manufacturing floor and a construction level: Normal office manufacturing and construction noises.
