Description
The Technical Writer shall be responsible for creating clear concise and accurate documentation for the HPC organizations software products services and processes. This role requires strong writing skills a solid understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate complex information into user-friendly content.
This position allows for partial telework.
Clearance
A current Top-Secret/SCIwith polygraph security clearance (within 7 years) is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.
Experience
Six (6) years experience as a TW in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity is required. Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional TW experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.

- Familiar with the Linux CLI including understanding of terminology used to provide related documentation.
- Experience using technical writing tools such as MS Office Tool Suite MadCap Flare and Adobe FrameMaker.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience implementing complex documentation practices within a software development environment.
- Experience using Markup languages including HTML XML and Markdown.
- Experience creating technical documentation for a wide audience.
- Experience using the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA Confluence).
- Experience with Git Source Control System.
Desired skills:
- Familiar with Agile software development methodologies.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
