Job Purpose

  • Under the supervision of EMEAC Medical Head and in collaboration with commercial leads to support the execution of medical strategies and plans in distributor partner markets (DPM)
  • Currently DPMs include:
    Albania Algeria Azerbaijan Bulgaria Croatia Cyprus Czech Republic & Slovakia Estonia Georgia Greece Hungary Iraq Israel Jordan Kazakhstan Latvia Lebanon Lithuania Romania Serbia Ukraine Uzbekistan Morocco Tunisia Bahrain Egypt Kuwait Oman Pakistan Qatar
  • They require varying levels of medical input depending on the portfolio
  • To provide up-to-date medical and scientific expertise in the expertise areas of focus to drive Galdermas medical messages delivery to key stakeholders via the local distributor teams (prescribing physicians physician-researchers pharmacists scientists key opinion leaders) and build partnership with them.
  • To work closely cross-functionally at the countries and cluster level (marketing market access sales regulatory compliance QA PV) and to ensure high quality scientific and medical information and education is provided.
  • To act as a conduit between DPMs and the region facilitating communication alignment and best practice sharing.
  • To collaborate with Regional and Global team members in the execution of relevant clinical activities in assigned projects and to ensure alignment of local medical activities with the Global strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides medical expertise in the assigned therapeutical areas (Rx Ax Cx) to ensure high quality scientific and medical advice education and information to internal and external stakeholders concerning in line and in pre-launch products
  • Develops overarching medical plan for distributor markets in line with global strategy
  • Participate actively at EMEAC Medical Team Meetings and relevant Global meetings.
  • Provide comprehensive trainings on products and related diseases to staff ensuring accurate delivery of messages in line with global plans for study interpretation and objection handling.
  • Works proactively as strategic partner with Marketing to ensure markets have required level of medial supports (i.e. trainings materials for lectures/symposia
  • Responsible to lead develop maintain current files on product-relevant medical literature.
  • Supports scientific communications to KOLs and HCPs and support of GAIN/SKIN activity.
  • Attends medical conferences and congresses as required to gain knowledge of progress in the medical areas of focus and bring scientific insights outside in.
  • May be also in contact with local healthcare officials scientific journals and formularies.
  • Supports regulatory team providing medical insights during the life-cycle of products and in preparation of the regulatory/market access dossiers
  • Responsible for clinical trial oversight within the country and liaise with the Investigators and the CRO when applicable
  • Assessing (local) research opportunities according to Galderma scientific needs and strategy
  • Leads manages internal approval and submission process or requests for Investigator Initiated Trials submitted to Galderma to support independent clinical/preclinical research with global Medical Affairs
  • Provides information on status and progress of Investigator Initiated Trials as well as on project needs/progress/impact
  • Responsible for supplying information in conjunction with medical information to answer medical information queries according to local & Global SOPs
  • Consults with PV regarding safety issues arising in DPM markets where necessary
  • Ensure compliance with any applicable law and Regulation and Pharma Industry Laws
  • Comply with all business ethics standards Galderma Code of Ethics and or any other applicable Codes legal Policies Procedures Working Instructions.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in Dermatology with a degree in health sciences
  • At least 5 years of successful experience in Pharma environment with a proven prior experience in Medical Affairs
  • Understanding of commercial context possibly from prior clinical trial and/or medical affairs experience
  • Medical and scientific writing skills
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and presenting scientific/medical content at a variety of levels including senior KOLs
  • Understanding of local healthcare environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to interact with all levels within the organization and to deal with key opinion leaders and the medical/scientific communities
  • Innovative and strategic thinking good judgment and sense of ethics.
  • Meeting planning and facilitation skills and Ability to interface effectively with a variety of technical platforms
  • Ability to function in a team-oriented (matrix) environment
  • Demonstrated ability to organize prioritize and work effectively in a constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to develop good relationships and credibility with medical professionals
  • Frequent Travels as required
  • English Language: Fluent spoken & written in addition to local languages.
