About the Role:

TheManufacturing Technical Operations (MTO) team is a critical technical function within manufacturing sites. Its primary mission is to ensure that manufacturing processes documentation and systems are robust compliant and continuously improved. The group acts as a bridge between Manufacturing Quality Engineering and Manufacturing Sciences supporting operational readiness and technology implementation.This position would support theLarge ScaleManufacturing Facility in RTP.

WhatYoullDo:

The role will offer an opportunity for cross functional collaboration withQuality Automation Engineering and Manufacturing Sciences.Working in MTOwill allow thecandidategainexperiencein a GMP facility at a15000L Bioreactor scale. They will gain experience in a GMP facility workingto support manufacturing.This is anoffice-basedrole and can involve gowning into the cleanrooms andobservingmanufacturing operations.

  • Create and/or revise manufacturing instructions and/orbatch records
  • Perform work necessary to implement electronic batch records(this requires learning theSyncadesystem).
  • Work with manufacturing to assesstheirrequests for documentationupdates
  • Assistwithcampaign restart activities for various products.
  • Assistwith technical transferactivities forclincaland commercial campaigns.

Example projects may include:

  • Support the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) projectwith the rollout of EBR.
  • Revise Manufacturing documentation and instructions
  • Assistwith technical transfer activitiesto manufacture a new product.
  • Assistwith manufacturing requests for continuous improvements
  • Assistin creation of an internal AI chatbot

  • Proficient in MS office programs & Technical Writing
  • Self-Starter withgood communicationskills and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Attention to detail is important for troubleshooting and documentrevisions.

Toparticipatein the Biogen Internshipor Co-opProgram students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date.
  • Currentlyenrolled in an accreditedcommunitycollege collegeuniversityor skills program/apprenticeship.

Education

Candidate should be pursuing a BS degree.Open to many disciplines of study.

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $23.00-$27.00


The actual hourly wage offered will consider the candidates current academic level and degree candidacy inclusive of Associate Bachelors Masters JD MD PhD and MBA programs. It will comply with state or local minimum wage requirements specific to the job location.
