The coach supports the educational mission of the school by emphasizing academic achievement citizenship sportsmanship and the physical and emotional development of Duties and ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership and InstructionPlan organize and supervise all aspects of the assigned athletic program in accordance with RIIL rules and sport-specific skills strategies and rules appropriate to the level of practices and competitions that promote skill development teamwork discipline and and model the principles of good sportsmanship as outlined by RIIL and -Athlete Development and ConductPromote academic success and ensure student-athletes meet RIIL and school eligibility school policies student-athlete codes of conduct and RIIL standards of as a positive role model emphasizing character leadership responsibility and ethical behavioral or disciplinary concerns promptly and communicate concerns to the Athletic Safety and Risk ManagementSupervise student-athletes at all times during practices competitions team meetings travel and locker room athlete safety by following district procedures RIIL policies and best practices related to injury prevention and heat/acclimatization collaboratively with the school nurse regarding injuries concussion protocols and return-to-play requirements consistent with RIIL and AdministrationMaintain full compliance with RIIL rules regarding eligibility transfers out-of-season participation contests and coaching maintain required records rosters and eligibility documentation as directed by the Athletic RIIL rules meetings coaches meetings and professional development effectively and professionally with student-athletes parents/guardians administrators officials and opposing and Event ResponsibilitiesPrepare teams for competition and manage all game-day appropriate conduct of student-athletes and assistant coaches during the school and athletic department positively at all RIIL-sponsored of the assigned sport and RIIL rules and to work effectively with high school students in an educational leadership organizational and communication to enforce school district and RIIL policies coaching or playing experience at the high school or collegiate of RIIL-required coaching certifications and NFHS First Aid and concussion training certification (or willingness to obtain).Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods and actively participate in practices and to demonstrate athletic techniques and lift/move equipment as of EmploymentSeasonal stipend-based position in accordance with district policy and/or collective bargaining contingent upon successful completion of background checks and all RIIL and district-required apply through ; Please indicate the position(s) for which you are applying.
