Compensation
Gross Weekly Pay: $2919/week
W2 Rate: $18/hour
Weekly Stipend: $2240
Job Summary
A leading healthcare facility in New York City is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a contract assignment in the Operating Room. The CST will support surgical services by assisting surgeons and registered nurses with scrub and circulating duties while maintaining strict adherence to sterile technique and patient safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform scrub and circulating duties during surgical procedures
Maintain sterile field and ensure compliance with aseptic technique
Assist surgeons by anticipating procedural needs
Conduct accurate instrument sponge and needle counts
Assist with patient positioning and preparation
Handle surgical specimens according to protocol
Support OR room setup turnover and cleanup
Assist with medication preparation under RN supervision (excluding narcotics)
Collaborate effectively with surgical team members
Requirements
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification REQUIRED
Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience
CVOR experience REQUIRED
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong knowledge of OR procedures and sterile technique
Ability to work full-time day shift 5 days per week
Excellent teamwork communication and attention to detail
