The Reynoldsburg City Schools K-12 General Educator serves as a versatile instructional leader dedicated to the academic and social-emotional growth of students across various developmental stages. Whether assigned to Elementary Middle or High School levels the educator is responsible for delivering standards-aligned instruction fostering an inclusive classroom culture and utilizing data-informed practices to prepare students for the next level of their educational journey or post-secondary pathways.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree in Education or a content-specific field from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Valid Ohio Teaching License appropriate for the assigned grade level (e.g. Por K-12 Multi-Age).
Compliance: Ability to pass Federal (FBI) and State (BCI) background checks.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Degree: Masters Degree in Education Curriculum and Instruction or specific content area.
Specialized Training: Experience with Science of Reading frameworks (K-5) Project-Based Learning (6-12) or Advanced Placement/CCP (9-12).
Bilingualism: Native or near-native fluency in a foreign language for elective positions.
Pedagogy: Proven experience in trauma-informed restorative and PBIS-centered classroom management.

Physical Demands: Regularly required to speak hear and move around the classroom/building for visibility. Ability to push pull lift and carry over 25 pounds on occasion.
Working Conditions: Fast-paced environment with significant mental and emotional demands. Includes potential exposure to chemicals (science labs) and unruly behavior. May experience occasional exposure to bodily fluids during emergency response.
Driving: May require driving between district buildings or to off-site meetings.
