Windsor Care Center is looking for a Staff Development Coordinator/ Infection Preventionist RN) who will be responsible for the planning development coordination tracking and evaluation of the education and infections for our facility. This role is responsible for programs which include both licensed and non-licensed clinical and non-clinical staff members to comply with community standards and federal regulations. This role ensures all education is delivered using various delivery methods such as videos in person and e-learning.
Duties
- Rn with valid license
- 2 years of clinical and/or supervisory experience required (educational leadership experience preferred)
- Knowledge and passion for geriatrics long term care and transitional care.
- Must possess a command of the English language both written and spoken. Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with nursing leadership staff co-workers and the public verbally in writing and through presentations.
- Possess computer experience with familiarity with Microsoft Office (word outlook excel power point)
- Competency with webbased training computer set up and other audio/visual equipment
- Ability to use multiple and varied training methodologies in order to meet training needs to staff
- Knowledge of and the ability to incorporate adult learning theory into daily practice
- Effectively plan Develop coordinate implement track and evaluate an education orientation and training program for licensed and unlicensed & non clinical staff that is also beneficial to staff across the organization.
- Demonstrate experience managing organizational change by strategically planned and designed educational program
- Ability to write or modify curriculum./course content to meet Windsor Cares needs
- Demonstrate strong leadership
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new industry changes in standards
- Highly organized willing to be flexible and accommodate changing priorities
