Reporting to the Plainville MA site and supporting the Viral Vector Services (VVS) a division of Thermo Fisher Scientific. At VVS we deliver from process development through commercial supply offering the expertise and resources vital to help clients deliver innovative gene therapies. We are placed at the forefront of our leading and groundbreaking Cell and Gene Therapy business enabling clients to cure genetic rare and otherwise untreatable diseases.
Join our collaborative team as an Instrument & Controls Technician II at Thermo Fisher Scientific where youll contribute to global healthcare and scientific this role youll be responsible for ensuring reliability compliance quality and operational excellence across our facility.
Work with advanced technologies and diverse teams youll help maintain high standards in pharmaceutical manufacturing laboratory operations and quality control.
Perform calibration activities as required to maintain calibration schedules.
Maintain instruments and equipment in both a preventative and reactive manner and will be part of an on-call rotation.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
BS degree highly preferred.
Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering Electronics Instrumentation or related technical field.
Required: BS degree with 1 year of experience or an Associate degree or relevant certification with 3 years of experience or a high school diploma in lieu of a degree with 5 years of experience.
Experience managing small controls projects independently.
Experience with automation systems and computer system validation.
Experience with quality management systems and documentation
Comprehensive knowledge of cGMP FDA regulations and industry standards (ISO GAMP5).
Ability to troubleshoot complex control systems.
Strong data analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of calibration and metrology principles.
Ability to work in cleanroom environments when required.
Effective interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
Ability to manage multiple projects.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $66000.00$99000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
