The Clinical Placement Coordinator works closely with the College of Nursing faculty to secure and maintain the clinical placements for students enrolled in the baccalaureate and graduate programs as well as create strong working relationships with the clinical placement facilities. This positions primary responsibilities include but are not limited to coordinating and managing the student clinical placements for the undergraduate and graduate programs. The Clinical Placement Coordinator reports to the Academic Processes Assessment and Accreditation Program Director. Serves as Campus Security Authority.

This is a 12-month in-person position located on Tarletons main campus in Stephenville Texas. Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate. A hybrid work schedule may be considered following successful completion of training requirements. This position requires up to 25% intermittent travel.

Responsibilities

100% Administration:

  • Collaborates with simulation coordinator to facilitate clinical placement schedule and simulation-based experience schedule.

  • Works directly with the agencys clinical educators (or designee) or uses agency-specific software platforms to request clinical placement for undergraduate and graduate programs.

  • Ensures student and faculty compliance with all agency requirements through the systems designated by clinical agencies and/or the College of Nursings clinical management system (e.g. Project Concert).

  • Provide facility information to the APAA Program Director to ensure clinical requests meet the College of Nursings mission and goals the Texas Board of Nurses and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) requirements for student clinical experiences.

  • Collaborate with the APAA Program Director to orient all faculty to general clinical affiliation agreements required evaluation documents and repositories and general clinical requirements and expectations of faculty.

  • Review students documents regularly and notify students of compliance status and needed documentation.

  • Maintain faculty and student orientation programs to meet specific clinical agency requirements.

  • Collaborate with course faculty and clinical instructor to ensure completion of clinical agency orientation requirements.

  • Collect formal evaluations of student evaluations of their experience at the clinical site student evaluations of clinical preceptors/faculty and agency evaluations of their experiences of the College of Nursing.

  • Report outcomes of evaluation data to the APAA Program Director.

  • Provide support to students as a resource for site requirements and related programs.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two years of related experience.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Strong interpersonal organizational and customer service skills.

  • Clear and articulate written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present information to various audiences.

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

  • Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.

  • Knowledge of word processing spreadsheet and database applications.

  • Ability to maintain the security and integrity of critical infrastructure which may include communications systems computer network and systems cybersecurity systems electrical grid hazardous waste treatment system or water treatment systems.

Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite virtual meeting platforms office productivity tools and database applications.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and applications.

  • Experience with health information management and complex scheduling.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Salary Range:

The target base annual salary range is $44000 up to $55550.50 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
