Step into the dynamic role of a Senior Product Consultant for Large Track Type Tractors (LTTT)a position where your insights decisions and recommendations directly shape the divisions business goals and longterm leadership. As a recognized expert in the LTTT segment and machine applications youll serve as the critical connection between the Product Value Stream and Regional GoToMarket Sales Teams ensuring alignment clarity and collaboration across the organization. Your work will empower Cat and Dealer sales teams to achieve their targets and help customers get maximum value from their Cat LTTT machines.
As the strategic marketing lead youll influence and execute the New Product Introduction (NPI) process and represent Resource Industries Sales Services & Technology (RISST) on the Product Value Stream (PVS) NPI team. Youll define and communicate global critical customer requirements and product functional specifications that guide the LTTT product development pipeline. This role spans the entire machine lifecyclefrom presale consultations to postsale optimization. Youll work closely with customers dealers and internal teams to understand realworld challenges solve problems and ensure Cat machines deliver unmatched value on every this role youre not just supporting the customeryoure championing their success at every touchpoint.
What you will do:
Make market-driven recommendations on Percent Industry Sales (PINS) units and growth strategies across Mining and Construction industries to achieve PINS and revenue targets globally.
Support the development of defined value selling capabilities and marketing programs to achieve a plan for machine unit & volume targets PINS objectives and price realization globally.
Lead global product initiatives for OPACC improvement and price/value assessments.
Lead price/value positioning projects spanning across regions and global price realization targets.
Lead analysis and maintain understanding of key competitors machine offerings and global merchandising strengths weaknesses and tactics.
Be the Go to person for issues related to achieving sales plan (Pricing Product availability coverage).
Be the Global Voice of Market input to the WW Product Value Stream Manager and LTTT NPI process.
Execute the Commercial and Marketing NPI workstream deliverables within given NPI programs.
Manage and remain up to date with new industry trends changing technology and regulations affecting the competitive environment.
Act as the Value Selling champion for LTTT ensuring the competitive position of Cat LTTT products can be communicated and demonstrated in the sales process to meet customer needs and win.
Develop and deploy product application and value selling training to Cat Dealer and customer audiences.
Consult with Cat Dealer and Customer stakeholders on machine selection operation and application.
What skills you will have:
Technical Excellence:Engineering commercial or product support experience is essential for success in this role. Familiarity with NPI processes and how we partner with Dealers is critical. Demonstrated commercial expertise will set top candidates apart and place you at the top of our list. Demonstrate creativity foresight business judgment and outstanding machine application or marketing/distribution knowledge.
Customer Focus:Knowledge of the critical customer requirements values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction to business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
Products and Services:Knowledge of Caterpillar products services and go to market approach; ability to apply knowledge of product and services to diverse situations.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking:Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Effective Communications:Must communicate effectively across product industry dealer and/or customer audiences to gain understanding and acceptance of ideas and recommendations. Must have ability to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures internally and externally with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences.
Negotiating:Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization with Dealers and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Relationship Management:Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients vendors and peers.
Value Selling:Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service value and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer
Top candidates will also have:
Experience in heavy equipment mining and/or construction with direct exposure to Large TrackType Tractors and applications across mining quarry and large earthmoving.
Additional Information:
The primary work location for this role is Peoria IL with a requirement to work on-site full-time at a Caterpillar facility.
This role requires approximately 3040% domestic and international travel including visits to remote mine sites and dealer locations around the world

Summary Pay Range:
$128470.00 - $192710.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
