Job Summary

Our Outreach and Communication team is looking for a motivated student assistant (approx. 10 hours/week) to join us in May 2026 and support our team with creativity and technical know-how. Our mission: to bring research results from geoinformatics and technology to the publicclearly vividly and worldwide.

Planning shooting and editing videos
Voiceovers/soundtracks and video editing (e.g. with Adobe Premiere or comparable software)

In addition to your core task in video production you can also assist with other tasks depending on your interests and strengths for example:

Preparing content for the web and social media
Translations from English German
Maintaining and updating website content
Design research or editorial tasks

You have experience in video production and video editing (Adobe Premiere or similar programs)
You speak and write fluent German and English
You are interested in geography geoinformatics computer science or related fields of research (or already have experience in these fields)
You enjoy working independently and reliably and enjoy creative teamwork

Nice to have (but not a must):

Knowledge of graphic design (e.g. InDesign)
Experience with website maintenance (WordPress)
Interest in blogging social media (LinkedIn Mastodon Bluesky) or press relations
