Were looking for our next Team Leader who understands that strong risk outcomes start with strong humans - someone who can balance commercial reality regulatory expectations and customer impact while creating a safe supportive environment where people do their best thinking.

In this role youll lead a small specialist team responsible for highquality risk assessments and accreditation across Merchant Payments within GTS. Youll support with new to bank acquisitions and existing customers who require merchant payment facilities.

Youll set the tone for thoughtful decisionmaking coach and encourage further sound judgement and ensure our service commitments are met not by rushing decisions but by lifting capability and consistency across the team.

What do I need

Were looking for someone who:

  • Possesses a supportive and compassionate leadership style; building confidence judgement and accountability within the team. You coach with care provide clear feedback and create psychological safety so your team can challenge learn and grow.
  • Brings a disciplined approach to their decision making that balances policy data and realbusiness context.
  • Champions consistency in the delivery of service level agreements by designing smart workflows prioritising effectively and removing blockers - without compromising quality wellbeing or desired risk outcomes.
  • Provides calm amongst complexity; you bring steadiness clarity and sound judgement when volumes spike or decisions are complex helping your team stay focused confident and committed to continuous improvement within your team.
  • Has exposure to payments AML Fraud and a relevant tertiary degree will be highly desirable.
