We are a float pool and our goal is to provide flexible staffing. We provide broad exposure to different patient populations as we support all 36 inpatient nursing units including adults pediatrics and womens health. Culturally we are a very close-knit group despite our size. We pride ourselves in getting to know each team memberindividuallyand we try to personally acknowledge/support individuals on our team.

Scope ofwork

Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher dispatchservicesandappropriate documentationof services. Provides the services of an Observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation either in person or via remote video monitoring to maximize his/her safety. Performs general receptionist and clerical duties tofacilitateefficient functioning of the nursing unit. Documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • Previoushospital or nursing home experiencepreferred

  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Supportrequired

  • Current CNA certificationpreferred
