This position is based on-site at our San Jose office.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Initiateproposalsto advancestate-of-the-artwireless technology including generating patents.
Actively engage with standard bodies andOSScommunity tomake technical contributions.
Identifyresearch directions and new research areasto realizeSonyvision.
Collaborate withour globalteamsaroundthe worldtoreachan optimaloutcome.
Honestytrustworthinessand ethical conduct are material requirements for the responsibilities outlined above
QUALIFICATIONS
Your qualifications and experience should include:
Ph.D. degree with 4 years of experience orMastersdegreewith 7 years of experiencein electrical/communication engineeringor in Computer Science.
Excellent wireless communication background including all system or link level aspects.
Experienceinwireless LAN systems cellular systems sensor network technologies distributed networking technologies or wireless PAN systems with excellent researchrecordis.
A good knowledge of wireless LAN protocol is required.Experience on wireless LAN (IEEE802.11) MAC/PHY layers protocol design and/or analysis is preferred.
ExperienceinWLANstandard(802.11ac/ax/be/bn etc.)development or 3GPP is preferred.
Experienceinlink level or system level simulation (e.g ns-3) ispreferred.
