Job Description:
This is professional services work and the primary function of this position is to be the Regions Quality Assurance Technician (QAT). The primary responsibility of the QAT is to manage edit and process data from field crews aerial mapping LiDAR and other sources to produce mapping products. Ability to be the Departments survey point of contact for construction projects when Regional PLS is unavailable.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Checking and editing data for errors and completeness
Converting data to an appropriate format and
Documenting data sources and products.
The QAT will also provide expertise with regard to; the survey equipment field & processing software field procedures and mentor and train the regions survey crews as well as consultants in these areas. Responsibilities may include some field collection assignments. Work is performed under limited supervision.
To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence ofthe following experience:
Eight (8) years of experience in engineering -OR- a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and four (4) years of engineering experience -OR- an Associate Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and six (6) years of experience in engineering.
