Job Summary
Our client requires a skilled Red Hat Satellite Resource on a contract basis to support the implementation administration and optimisation of Red Hat Satellite and Ansible within the RHEL environment. The resource will be responsible for integrating RHEL servers managing updates and automation resolving operational issues and ensuring configurations align with Red Hat and industry best practices. The role also includes knowledge transfer to internal teams and providing recommendations to improve platform stability security and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Red Hat certifications such as:
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) required
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) preferred
- Proven hands-on experience administering Red Hat Satellite in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with Ansible automation playbook development and configuration management.
- Solid understanding of RHEL lifecycle management patching and system updates.
- Experience integrating and managing large-scale RHEL server environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Linux operating systems and update deployments.
- Familiarity with security hardening and configuration best practices for RHEL.
- Experience in documentation knowledge transfer and training of technical teams.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with infrastructure and security teams.
