Summary

The Team Lead for Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance will play a pivotal role in leading and mentoring a team of Claims Adjusters while ensuring seamless operational execution and high-quality service delivery. This position is critical to maintaining SLA compliance driving process efficiency and supporting underwriting teams with accurate timely claims processing. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in P&C insurance with proven leadership capabilities delivering strong performance outcomes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and clients including international partners and demands a high level of analytical organizational and communication proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor team performance and provide timely constructive feedback to adjusters.
  • Conduct regular employee performance reviews and support career development initiatives.
  • Coordinate with underwriting and other internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely case resolution.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs and maintain high standards in claims processing accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and review comprehensive reporting packs for senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain accurate performance metrics and ensure data integrity in reporting.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions including targeted training programs.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline claims handling and enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and user guides are up-to-date and reflect current practices.
  • Facilitate the successful transition of new activities or processes to the service provider.
  • Assist in investigating and resolving data quality issues impacting claims outcomes.
  • Support testing and rollout of new IT systems and digital initiatives within the claims function.

Requirements

Requirements:
  • Graduate or post-graduate degree in any discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of total experience in Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a team handling or supervisory role.
  • Proven experience in claims adjudication claims adjusting and end-to-end claims processing.
  • Preference for candidates holding CPCU or equivalent insurance designations.
  • Experience working with international clients is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication leadership and people management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of P&C underwriting principles and insurance market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving decision-making and analytical abilities.
  • Basic understanding of regulatory and legal compliance frameworks in insurance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook) and digital workflow tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have 1 year of on-paper experience as a Team Lead.
