Job Summary

NAYA Family Center is seeking a Financial Planning Grants and Risk Analyst to support organization-wide financial planning grant oversight and enterprise risk management. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer Controller Program Directors and cross-departmental teams this role strengthens financial sustainability ensures strong grant compliance and integrates risk awareness into planning and budgeting processes. The Financial Planning Grants and Risk Analyst exercises independent judgment makes recommendations to senior leadership and serves as a trusted financial and risk advisor to program leaders across the organization.

The annual salary for this position is $85000 to $95000.


Who You Are

  • Ideally youre familiar with Native American history and understand the unique experiences and strengths of urban Native communities.
  • You have 25 years of experience in financial planning and analysis grants administration risk management auditing or related functions within a nonprofit environment.
  • You have experience supporting or leading financial planning processes budgeting forecasting and financial modeling.
  • You are skilled at translating complex financial information into accessible insights for program and leadership teams.
  • You have knowledge of government and foundation grant compliance requirements and nonprofit accounting standards.
  • You thrive in a team-oriented workplace are adaptable and are willing to roll up your sleeves and pitch in even when its not your job.
  • You demonstrate self-awareness listening deeply centering others and taking accountability for your actions.
  • You are consistently punctual reliable and dependable in support of your team and clients.
  • You possess strong communication skills engaging effectively with diverse groups and adapting to varied contexts.
  • Youre comfortable using databases Microsoft Office and email and youre open to learning new systems.

What Youll Do

  • Facilitate the annual budget development process including coordinating timelines leading meetings and preparing standardized budget templates.
  • Consolidate program departmental and grant budgets into an organization-wide budget with clear narratives and variance explanations.
  • Provide financial modeling multi-year forecasts scenario analyses and cash-flow projections to support decision-making.
  • Conduct ongoing budget-to-actual analysis and prepare variance reports with actionable insights.
  • Support grant budgeting monitoring and reporting to ensure compliance with funder requirements Uniform Guidance and nonprofit standards.
  • Assist program and finance teams in reviewing allowable costs grant spending patterns and cost allocation methodologies.
  • Monitor grant-specific financial risks and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Contribute to preparation of grant financial reports reimbursement requests and audit documentation.
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of the organizations enterprise risk management framework.
  • Facilitate risk assessments across departments and maintain the organization-wide risk register.
  • Prepare clear written analyses presentations and dashboards for senior leadership and the Board.
  • Build strong relationships across departments to promote financial literacy budget ownership and risk awareness.
