of Job Duties:This 12-month Non-Tenure Track Clinical Assistant Professors primary responsibility will be teaching graduate courses in the Occupational Therapy Doctoral programs integrated curriculum. The Clinical Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy will also advise students direct/chair student capstone projects participate in public/professional service and engage in service activities at the program department college and university level. Travel may be required for this position. Occupational Therapy faculty members are expected to be engaged stewards of the profession who are committed to fostering innovative collaborative occupation-centered learning environments for their students and colleagues.

Regular reliable and non-disruptive in person attendance is an essential job duty as is the ability to create and maintain collegial harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree from an accredited institution. Must be conferred by first day of employment

  • Occupational therapist who is licensed/eligible for Arkansas professional license

  • At least two years of clinical experience

  • Evidence of initial performance and promise of success in teaching instruction or clinical practice

  • Potential to contribute to the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) evidence-based practice and/or innovative practice

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least four years of clinical experience

  • Expertise in pediatric occupational therapy neuro-rehabilitation and/or orthopedic rehabilitation

  • Experience teaching in an integrated curriculum

  • At least three years of experience as a full-time graduate faculty with teaching responsibilities

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

  • Record of productive service to a department institution and the profession
