Job Summary
Are you a handson finance leader who turns operational complexity into decisionready insight Reporting to the CFO and leading a small team youll steer multibusinessunit planning reporting compliance and control endtoend. Youll own monthend delivery and balancesheet discipline elevate cost and procurement governance strengthen inventory and asset stewardship and optimise treasury and working capital. Beyond the close youll drive budgets and forecasts embed robust policies and systems and partner with operations to lift margin cash and control maturity.
Own full accounting for assigned business units deliver monthly management accounts and insight
Maintain balancesheet reconciliations and ledger integrity and secure departmental signoffs
Analyse costs vs budget/prior year and drive savings initiatives and corrective actions
Lead procurement (RFQs negotiations supplier performance) and enforce dualapproval protocols and monitor COS%
Oversee inventory control: monthly counts spot checks receiving compliance and slow/expired stock remediation
Maintain the Fixed Asset Register project governance asset safeguarding and asset realisation
Manage treasury: payment approvals cashflow forecasting petty cash/floats and bank/creditcard reconciliations
Coordinate fleet & logistics: acquisition licensing/insurance maintenance/claims disposals and cost allocation
Ensure payroll accuracy within manpower plans monitor debtors ageing and escalate risks
Strengthen operational controls controlfocused shifts and afterhours support
Lead tax audit & compliance annual tax workings audit files and AFS review (IFRS for SMEs)
Run budgeting & forecasting coach a small team upskill on ERP/PMS/Payroll and partner stakeholders
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 years management experience in Accounting or Finance
Industry experience in multisite operations (Hospitality or Tourism advantageous)
Advanced MS Office skills
Strong experience with financial systems ERP and operational finance processes
Technically strong in accounting & reporting financial & management accounting governance and policies & standards
Qualification:
BCom Honours with articles (or equivalent) are essential
CIMA and/or CA(SA) are preferable
