Job Summary

Summit Search Group has been retained by our client to recruit an experienced Journeyman Framer to join a growing custom residential construction business.

This is a highly hands-on role for a skilled framing professional who takes pride in craftsmanship precision and teamwork. The Journeyman Framer will play a key role in the construction of high-quality custom homes working within an integrated design-build environment where key trades are self-performed to ensure consistency efficiency and exceptional build quality.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working on-site collaborating closely with other trades and project leaders and contributing to projects from the ground up. Experience working with ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) construction is considered a strong asset.

The Role

The Journeyman Framer will be responsible for executing all aspects of residential framing ensuring work is completed safely accurately and to a high standard of quality. This role works closely with site leadership and other trades to support efficient project delivery and exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

Perform residential framing tasks including walls floors roofs and structural components
Read and interpret construction drawings plans and specifications
Frame custom residential homes with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Work collaboratively with concrete finishing and other on-site trades
Assist with ICF formwork installation where required
Ensure work is completed in compliance with building codes and safety standards
Maintain a clean safe and organized job site
Use tools and equipment safely and efficiently
Contribute positively to a team-focused quality-driven work environment

Qualifications & Experience

Journeyman Framer certification required
3 years of residential framing experience preferred
Experience working on custom or high-end residential projects
Exposure to or experience with ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) systems is a strong asset
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong understanding of residential building codes and best practices
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Strong work ethic reliability and attention to detail
