Responsibilities
Plays a critical role in ensuring an accurate registration process for all patients undergoing Cardiovascular testing and procedures. Responsible for verifying and updating patient demographics confirming insurance eligibility and benefits and ensuring CPT codes are correct and aligned with scheduled services. The registrar collaborates closely with clinical staff scheduling pre-registration and billing departments to ensure accuracy in patient records and promote a positive patient experience. Attention to detail strong communication skills and a commitment to patient confidentiality are essential in this role.
Qualifications
- High school diploma equivalent education (GED) post-secondary education or (1) one year work experience.
- Six months prior clerical or customer service experience preferably in a hospital or medical office.
