Job Summary
Location: Carlisle Massachusetts 01741
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Friday to Sunday
Caregiver Rate: $25 per hour
We are seeking an experienced calm and reliable helper to support a male client with severe end-stage dementia. The client is mobile and ambulates independently but may become agitated during personal care particularly bathing and toileting. A caregiver with strong dementia-care skills and the ability to redirect behavior safely and respectfully is essential.
Care Responsibilities
Morning Routine:
- Assistance with toileting bathing and dressing
- Maintain a calm reassuring presence during personal care
- Clean the bathroom as needed after use
- Change bed linens and complete client laundry
- Assist the client in transitioning safely to the living room after morning care
Evening Routine:
- Assist with toileting
- Help the client get settled and safely into bed
- Friday to Sunday
- Morning: 10:30 AM 12:30 PM (2 hours)
- Evening: 9:00 PM 10:00 PM (1 hour)
Caregiver Preferences
- Proven experience working with advanced dementia patients
- Skilled inde-escalation and redirection techniques
- Calm patient and emotionally regulated demeanor
- BLS or First Aid certification required
- Comfortable managing occasional agitation while prioritizing safety and dignity
