What Youll Do as a 2nd Shift Diesel Mechanic
In this role youll perform essential fleet maintenance and diesel truck repair to keep our drivers safe and our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities include:
- Performing inspections diagnostics and repairs on diesel vehicles
- Troubleshooting electrical hydraulic suspension brake and air systems
- Using onboard vehicle diagnostic systems to interpret failure codes and adjust engine/vehicle control modules
- Responding to road calls and conducting emergency repairs
- Reviewing and completing repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)
- Documenting work using fleet maintenance software
- Test-driving vehicles after repairs
- Supporting teammates with complex repairs
- Interacting professionally with drivers
- Maintaining a clean and safe shop environment compliant with OSHA standards
- Performing additional maintenance duties as needed
