Responsibilities
Are you HazTeks next Safety Specialist
HazTek is hiring a Night Shift Safety Specialist near Ashburn VA. Were seeking a proactive and experienced Data Center Safety Specialist to lead on-site safety efforts and ensure full compliance with OSHA standards.
- Oversee all aspects of industrial construction projects ensuring OSHA compliance
- Develop and enforce safety policies procedures and training materials tailored to mechanical trades
- Collaborate with project managers foremen and subcontractors to promote a safety-first culture.
- Conduct daily safety meetings
- Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
- Ensure all personnel wear their personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ensure proper and safe use of ladders scissor lifts boom lifts and other elevated work platforms.
- Daily safety audits and inspections
- Inspect power tools and heavy equipment
Qualifications
- Ability to work from 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM required
- Minimum 3 years of construction safety experience required
- OSHA 30 in Construction required
- First Aid/CPR certified required
- Must have experience working on data center or mission critical builds
- Must have experience in Fall Protection Scaffolding Steel Erection and Excavation
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are a plus
- Strong knowledge ofconstruction safety standards
- Excellent verbal and written skills
