MultiCare Cancer Institute (MCI) is launching a High-Risk Liver and Pancreas Cancer Screening (HRLPCS) Clinic designed to identify evaluate and longitudinally manage patients at elevated risk for hepatocellular carcinoma and pancreatic cancer. Concurrently hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) surgical volume continues to grow creating increased demand for inpatient rounding consult coverage and weekend availability. This position will be approximately 70% clinic and 30% inpatient.
To support this expansion we are seeking a Surgical Nurse Practitioner or PA-C to serve as a foundational member of this specialty service line at Tacoma General Hospital.
This is a rare opportunity to help build and shape a program while practicing within a highly collaborative well-resourced cancer institute.

Schedule
4 10-hour shifts
Call approximately 4 times per month
Position Highlights
First assist in the operating room approximately 30%
Conduct and manage outpatient clinic visits
Provide pre- and post-operative inpatient and outpatient care
Participate in consult coverage and rounding
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary oncology and surgical team
Help establish workflows protocols and best practices for a new specialty clinic

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package including competitive salary medical dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $190270.00 - $195464.00 USD. However pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants including but not limited to: skill set level of experience and certification(s) and/or education.
