Role Overview:

• We are seeking an exceptional Accounts Payable Manager who brings a strong sense of ownership to the table and excels in dynamic fast-paced environments. This role will be integral in supporting day-to-day accounts payable operations managing vendor relationships and partnering with our internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in navigating ambiguity and balancing competing priorities while maintaining a consistently high standard for accuracy and precision.
• This role is more than just processing invoices youll leverage strong accounting fundamentals daily while building a scalable Accounts Payable function.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable cycle from invoice intake and processing to approvals payment disbursement and account reconciliation.
• Process a high volume of invoices and requests ensuring proper coding contract and purchase order review approvals and adherence to company procedures.
• Lead vendor management by maintaining pristine records facilitating vendor relationships and communications and proactively resolving issues and discrepancies.
• Partner cross-functionally with Procurement Shipping and Receiving and Finance to ensure accurate three-way match goods receipt and timely payments.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls ensuring compliance with tax reporting and regulatory requirements including annual 1099 filing.
• Drive continuous improvement across the accounts payable function by identifying opportunities for automation increased efficiency cost reduction and adoption of best-practice processes.
• Collaborate with the broader accounting team on month-end financial close activities external audit requests and ad-hoc projects.
• Work 4-5 days per week out of our office in Los Angeles (Hawthorne) California.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or another related field or equivalent work experience
• 5 years leading the AP function
• Uncompromising attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication skills paired with strong accounting judgment and a solutions-driven mindset
• Passionate about accounting operations with a hands-on roll-up-your sleeves mentality

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with Netsuite and/or Ramp
• Familiarity with defense aerospace or other high-growth manufacturing environments
