This is a full-time contract position earning$31.00/hr from March 30 - June 26 2026.
As our Class 1 Driver you will be a critical player in ensuring strong customer service by delivering plants between our main operation in West Kelowna BC to the Lower Mainland.
You will be responsible for:
- Safely deliveringall products assigned by Logistics Coordinator and Shipping Department within scheduled timeframes.
- Conducting daily truck inspections including fluid checks & coordinatingtimely maintenance with the Maintenance department.
- Ensuring loads are secure and weight is distributed properly.
- Ensuringplants being delivered are maintained properly throughout each trip.
- Keeping to planned scheduled routes and contacting customers in advance of each delivery.
- Assisting customers with loading and unloading.
- Completing all paperwork properly &submitting it to the Shipping Dept.
- Operatingand maintainingvarious truck units as required which includes keepingtrucks clean and maintaining a regular cleaning schedule.
- Representing Bylands professionally when interacting with customers.
- Returning all carts and racks used in transporting materials to the Nursery and submitting the necessary paperwork to Shipping Department/Admin. Office for each shipment.
- Maintaining and submitting detailed Expense Reports as required including copies of all expense receipts.

Spring is our busiest season and the pace reflects that. When trucks are moving priorities shift quickly and hours may vary to support shipping needs. If you work well in a fast-moving environment and like being part of a team that pulls together during peak periods this role will feel engaging rather than overwhelming.
The position includes light physical activity such as lifting up to 15 lbs bending squatting and walking the yard. Outdoor work means exposure to typical seasonal weather conditions including heat cold wind and rain.
