Make a meaningful impact with a valuesdriven notforprofit organisation dedicated to improving community outcomes. As Prospect Research Specialist/Manager you will lead a critical function that drives the success of major midlevel and highvalue fundraising programs.
In this pivotal role you will oversee all aspects of prospect research and prospect management ensuring the effective identification cultivation solicitation and stewardship of prospective donors. You will support organisational fundraising ambitions by researching evaluating and prioritising individuals trusts foundations and corporate partners to build a strong strategic pipeline for highnetworth engagement and significant giving.
You will deliver highquality insights strategies and intelligence to inform cultivation planning strengthen donor engagement and guide frontline fundraisers in making datadriven decisions. The role also manages due diligence processes maintains accurate and ethical prospect records monitors wealth and philanthropic trends and stays across emerging research tools and technologies.

This is a fixed term full-time opportunity offered on a 2-year contract.
The Position
Identify and qualify new prospective donors discovered through database searches publicly available information and other resources
Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects aligned with major giving and capital campaign priorities
Maintain and improve the prospect a scoring model to prioritise engagement based on linkage interest and ability/capacity
Conduct research both reactively and proactively on individuals trusts foundations and corporations
Conduct due diligence and risk assessment on prospective donors in line with organisational policies and ethical standards
Standardise and deliver research briefs and profiles to Relationship Managers and other relevant caregivers
Monitor philanthropic trends and high-net-worth individuals relevant to the organisations mission
Keep up to date with innovations and technology specifically but not limited to AI relating to prospect research and development
Manage prospect assignment reporting in accordance with best practice prospect management protocols
Produce and distribute regular prospect and proposal activity reports and support fundraisers to optimise their portfolios through regular reviews and assessments
Enhance the prospect data in the Donor CRM with updated philanthropic interests career wealth relationship social and other information
Support the implementation of strategies for building the major and principal gift prospect pipeline and develop plans for tracking success
Proactively and strategically manage the allocation and reassignment of prospects to Relationship Managers
Support portfolio management through reporting analysis and segmentation recommendations
You will bring a relevant tertiary qualification and/or substantial experience in prospect research and management backed by 5 years experience in prospect research fundraising analytics donor relations or a closely related field. You will demonstrate a strong working understanding of philanthropy principles and the fundraising environment with the ability to apply this knowledge to identify assess and prioritise prospects that support major midlevel and highvalue giving strategies.
You will be adept at synthesising complex information generating actionable insights and contributing to a highquality prospect pipeline through ethical accurate and strategic research practices. Your expertise will ensure fundraisers are equipped with the intelligence they need to drive informed engagement cultivation and solicitation activities.
To succeed you will have strong online and database research skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear actionable insights. You will demonstrate high attention to detail discretion and accuracy when working with confidential information and be proficient in preparing proposals reports briefings and related documentation. You will also be familiar with privacy legislation ethical research practices and the Fundraising Institute of Australia (FIA) Code to ensure all prospect research is conducted with integrity.

Salary $124196 to $137946 per annum plus 12% Superannuation
Fixed term fulltime position working 76 hours a fortnight
Contract initially offered on a 2-year basis
Located in Kings Square Perth CBD office or Collins St Melbourne CBD Office
