Software Quality Analyst

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Quality Analyst with 35 years of experience to join our this role youll ensure the quality accuracy and reliability of our digital products that support educators students and libraries. Our web platforms are built in React and leverage AWS-based microservicesexperience testing modern SPAs and API-driven applications is highly valued.

Youll collaborate closely with Product Engineering Content and Customer Experience teams to identify issues improve processes and maintain high standards across our educational technology platforms.

Our preference is for this role to be hybrid based out of our Edina MN locations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop execute and maintain test plans test cases and testing scripts for both digital and print products.
• Conduct functional regression usability and compatibility testing to ensure product performance across platforms and devices.
• Track document and report defects ensuring timely resolution in partnership with development teams.
• Test React-based web applications and backend RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into clear testing objectives.
• Verify the accuracy consistency and accessibility of digital content and publishing workflows.
• Contribute to process improvements automation opportunities and best practices for quality assurance.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG Section 508) and industry best practices.

Education Experience and Skills desired:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Publishing or a related fieldor equivalent professional experience.
• 35 years of quality assurance or quality analyst experience preferably in edtech SaaS or publishing.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies tools and processes.
• Experience with test management and bug-tracking tools (e.g. Jira TestRail).
• Experience testing Single Page Applications (SPAs) and understanding of API testing (Postman Swagger etc.) is a plus.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium Playwright Robot Framework) is a plus.
• Ability to obtain clarifications and report updates with developers and product.
• Understanding of digital publishing workflows and accessibility requirements.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Travel Requirements

5-10% travel may be required.

The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are surrounding compensation including but not limited to: skill sets experience and training work location and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70000-$85000.
