Food Prep Worker - Carter Creek Management Company is looking to fill Six (6) Food Prep Worker positions in Irvington VA to work approximately 04/01/2026 to 12/01/2026. This is a temporary full-time seasonal position.
Duties: Perform a variety of food preparation duties other than cooking such as preparing cold foods and shellfish slicing meat and brewing coffee or tea. Clean and sanitize work areas equipment utensils dishes or silverware. Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage. Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers.
Requirements: Requires 3 months of experience in any food preparation or kitchen occupation.
Terms & Conditions of Employment: Workdays: Thursday-Monday off Tuesday and Wednesday. Daily hours: 8 hours per day 40 hours per week. Must work at least 35 hours per week to be considered full-time. Shift times: 8:00AM - 4:00PM or 3:00PM - 11:00PM
Paid biweekly wages calculated each workweek. Workers will be paid no less than $16.50 per hour. Overtime will be paid at 1.5 times workers regular hourly pay ($24.75 per hour). Employer will make all deductions from the workers paycheck as required by law.
On-the-job training provided. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools supplies and equipment required to perform the job.
Lodging Deductions Benefits: Optional employee housing is available for a paycheck deduction of $219.23 per paycheck (reasonable cost).
Benefits available from day 1 of work: EAP F&B discounts retail discounts and free meals while working. Benefits available after 60 days of employment: health insurance. Benefits available after 90 days of employment: PTO.
Inbound/Outbound Transportation: If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Reimbursement will be included in first paycheck following 50% completion.
Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Subsistence will be at least $16.28 per day of travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with documentation of actual expenses. Employer will provide or pay the reasonable costs for lodging where lodging is necessary.
Employer will reimburse worker in the first workweek for all visa visa processing border crossing and other related fees including those mandated by the government incurred by the worker.
Three-fourths Guarantee: The employer guarantees three-fourths of the total number of work hours of each 12-week period for beginning with the first workday after arrival of the worker or the advertised contractual first date of need whichever is later and ending on the expiration of the date specified in the work contract.
