Job Summary

As a Trade Compliance Analyst you will play a key role in supporting regulatory compliance and business operations. You will manage investigations documentation and regulatory processes while contributing to efficient project execution and ensuring adherence to trade and compliance requirements across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Data Entry & System Maintenance

  • Upload classification records in systems such as Tradeflow Oracle D365 SAP or equivalent
  • Perform bulk data uploads and updates using Excel templates and system tools

Customs & Broker Support

  • Validate broker entry data against internal records to ensure accuracy
  • Support entry audit processes including record checks and discrepancy tracking
  • Assist with post-entry corrections reconciliations and data cleanup efforts

Compliance Documentation Support

  • Support data entry for:
    • Free Trade Agreement (FTA) qualification records
    • Supplier declarations (origin steel/aluminum valuation etc.)
    • Section 232 / 301 / IEEPA tariff reporting elements
  • Maintain organized digital compliance records and supporting documents
  • Ensure documents meet regulatory retention requirements

Data Validation & Quality Control

  • Review trade records for accuracy completeness and consistency
  • Flag potential classification valuation or origin errors to senior compliance staff
  • Track and correct data discrepancies between ERP broker and trade systems
  • Follow standardized work instructions SOPs and audit checklists

Process & Productivity Support

  • Meet defined daily/weekly production targets for record updates and validations
  • Follow standardized workflow queues and prioritization rules
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring errors or data gaps
  • Participate in training to expand knowledge of customs regulations and trade systems

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

  • Associates or Bachelors degree inBusiness Logistics Supply Chain International Trade or related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience

  • 13 years of experience indata entry trade compliance logistics or customs operations is a plus
  • Familiarity withcustoms data elements(HTS COO duty valuation) is a plus

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency inExcel(filters VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP pivot tables preferred)
  • Experience withERP or trade systems(SAP Oracle D365 Tradeflow or similar)
  • High comfort working withlarge datasets and repetitive data tasks

Core Competencies

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle high-volume repetitive work with consistency
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Basic understanding of customs regulations and trade terminology is a plus
  • Comfortable working in a metrics-driven productivity-focused environment

Performance Metrics

  • Number of records processed per day/week
  • Data accuracy rate (% error-free records)
  • Turnaround time for assigned queues
  • Compliance with SOPs and audit standards
