DescriptionAt Oracle Customer Success Services (CSS) we are building the next generation of AI applications that transform how enterprises get work done. The CSS RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) system is one of our initiatives an intelligent multi-agent system that enables professionals across business functions to interact reason and co-create with AI.
The CSS team needs a Senior Software Engineer who can design develop configure evaluate monitor and optimize generative AI and agent solutions for Oracle applications as well as develop innovative solutions to advance the CSS teams operational capabilities and effectiveness.
Work location: Pleasanton CA - in office 1-2 times a week

ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and optimize GenAI solutions (including RAG and agents).
Provide analysis and reporting of AI quality and business value as well as auditing (e.g. bias prompt injection guardrails) for customers.
Develop methods and tools to evaluate improve extend and measure the ROI of Oracle AI solutions.
Design and develop custom AI solutions to optimize and generate efficiencies for business operations.
Help monetize AI capabilities as managed services.
Support internal standardization and uptake of generative AI code assist tools.
Interface with Oracle AI Review (OAR) Board and Corporate Security Solution Assurance Process team to ensure AI and security governance.
Mentor and guide engineers through design reviews architecture discussions and operational best practices.
Contribute to continuous improvement in development practices observability and on-call operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field.
5 years of professional software development experience including experience leading the design and delivery of complex systems.
Strong coding and system design skills in Python and or Java.
Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures distributed systems and observability.
Proven ability to lead technical projects and collaborate effectively across functions.
Demonstrated success in mentoring other engineers and fostering technical excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing deploying and operating enterprise-grade systems at scale (e.g. high-traffic production environments serving large user bases)
Hands-on experience with LLM-powered systems (e.g. large language models agentic frameworks AI workflow orchestration ML ops prompt engineering) and deploying AI applications in cloud environments.
Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain LangGraph or equivalent.
