Meet the team

New Zealand Medical and Scientific (NZMS) is a Dexcom Company responsible for supplying Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitors and the distribution of Tandem insulin pumps. An exciting and rare opportunity exists for an Associate Professional Education Managerto join our successful team. Weseeka dynamic articulate self-driven diabeteseducator withaunique mixofclinical and commercial background in diabetes.

AsanAssociate Professional Education Manager you will be reporting to the Professional Education Manager working within theclinical educationteam to contribute to the growth and successofNZMSDiabetes a Dexcom Company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver exceptional clinical and technical training on NZMS diabetes-related products to internal staff and all NZMS customers including:
    • Endocrinologists Paediatricians Physicians Nurse Practitioners Nurse Prescribers Diabetes Nurse Specialists (DNE) Allied Health Workers; and
    • People living with diabetes and their support networks
  • Liaise with marketing and product development departments to develop and review HCP resources and ensure brand consistency.
  • Support the development maintenance and review of the healthcare professional learning management system.
  • Provide clinical expertise to all internal stakeholders including regular dissemination of clinical papers.
  • Co-ordinate and support local and national events/conferences/education sessions.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of national conference presentations.
  • To monitor competitors activities and market trends.
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with stakeholder organisations key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) within the diabetes arena building long-term sustainable client relationships.

  • You demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of the New Zealand healthcare system and customers.
  • You have at experience in diabetes with clinical experience in insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring.
  • You can plan manage and prioritise multiple projects.
  • You have an eye for detail and the ability to work and deliver a high standard of work within short time frames to meet deadlines.
  • You are comfortable and have demonstrated experience in delivering impactful presentations to a wide audience both face-to-face and virtually.
  • You communicate with impact and achieve tangible results through written and verbal proficiency.
  • You are a team player with a positive attitude and thrive in a dynamic work environment.
  • You have strong project management analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You are confident in using computer technology and an array of technical and software tools.
  • Respectful of others; decisive objective courteous and patient.
  • You must require Drivers License in order to drive company car for travelling
  • You must be eligible for working with children
  • You have unrestricted works rights within New Zealand

Experience and Education:

  • Experience in related role: preferred diabetes/medical devices
  • Experience in developing and delivering healthcare professional education and training material including online learning management systems

Travel Required:

  • Ability to travel (25-50%) with overnight stays occasionally including weekend work throughout the year.
  • Candidate must travel by car and/or plane to support our field team and attend regional/national meetings and facilitate training sessions as needed.
