Job Summary
We are working with a leading secondary school in Islington who are recruiting a scholarly and engaging History ECT for an immediate start. This is a school where History isnt just about datesits about inquiry debate and understanding the world we live in today.
The Role This permanent full-time position is for an ECT who is genuinely excited by historiography. The successful candidate will teach a broad and diverse curriculum across KS3 and KS4 helping students develop the critical thinking and writing skills they need for future success.
The School Based in a vibrant part of Islington the school offers a professional but very human atmosphere. Responsibilities
Teaching History across all key stages fostering a genuine love for the subject.
Contributing to the schools History Society and leading academic debating clubs.
Providing detailed helpful feedback that encourages students to think deeper.
Participating in whole-school CPD and collaborative planning sessions.
Requirements
QTS (or pending) and a strong academic record in History.
The school is unable to offer visa sponsorship; candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
A valid enhanced DBS.
Salary M1 UPS3 () per annum.
