About the Team

The OCI MultiCloud (AWS) team builds infrastructure and services that allow Oracle Cloud services to run and integrate with AWS. We work on distributed systems cloud infrastructure DevOps automation and service reliability across cloud environments.

Engineers on the team work end-to-end and gain exposure to backend development infrastructure automation deployment and operations.

Department Description

Oracles Cloud Infrastructure organization is building Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate at high scale in a distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Our customers run mission-critical workloads on our cloud and our mission is to provide best-in-class compute storage networking security and foundational cloud services.

Overview

We are looking for Software Developers (IC2) who are early in their careers and want to grow as cloud and distributed systems this role you will work as part of a team designing building and operating services running on OCI and AWS.

You will contribute to backend services infrastructure automation and operational tooling while learning how to run production systems at scale. This role provides hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of cloud services with support and mentorship from senior enginee

Job Responsibilities

Contribute to development of Java-based microservices running on Kubernetes
Work with Docker and Terraform to build and deploy cloud infrastructure
Help operate and support services in development test and production environments
Participate in debugging troubleshooting and resolving production issues
Learn and apply best practices for reliability scalability and security
Collaborate with senior engineers through code reviews and design discussions
Participate in on-call rotations with guidance and support

Candidate Profile

02+ years of experience in software development or cloud engineering
Working knowledge of Java and backend development fundamentals
Exposure to Kubernetes Docker or containerized applications
Basic experience or strong interest in Terraform or infrastructure-as-code
Familiarity with OCI AWS or another public cloud
Experience with Python or Go for scripting or automation is a plus
Solid understanding of data structures algorithms and basic distributed systems concepts
Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP HTTP)
Familiarity with databases NoSQL systems or distributed storage concepts
Comfortable working with Linux or eager to learn
Curiosity willingness to learn and ability to take feedback
