The Position: We are looking for a candidate who will be performing the role of Special Security Officer supporting a DoD clients Special Security Office (SSO).

The Location: Huntsville AL.

The Work Environment: On-Site.

The Description:

The candidate will assist the SSO with managing the planning design and construction security of new and existing facilities and enforces Intelligence Community Standards for the accreditation operation and reciprocal use of these facilities. The CSSO Analyst supports and provides oversight to several Government and Contractor Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) with various security requirements in accordance with Intelligence Community Directive 705 DoD Directive 8520.01 DoD Manual 5105.21 and the Technical Specifications for the Construction and Management of SCIFs.

Other duties/ responsibilities may include:

• Perform oversight of Government and contractor SCIF construction and modifications.
• Coordinate SCIF pre-construction packages and formal approvals/accreditations with Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).
• Respond to alarms provides support to quarterly maintenance on Intrusion Detection System (IDS) facility access control power failure equipment changes general maintenance and periodic inspections.
• Review Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs) TEMPEST Checklist/Addendums and pertinent SCIF documentation.
• Assist stakeholders with SCIF documentation and management and operations of their facilities.
• Assist with other technical and programmatic issues related to Government and contractor SCIFs.

Education & Experience:

• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in related discipline.
• At least twelve (12) years of experience working on missile defense or other complex large DoD programs/projects.
• SSO related accreditations/certifications preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent Microsoft Office software skills.
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems.

Travel:

• The physical environment requires the employee to work on-site at the government program office sitting in a cubicle or at a desk looking at a computer for most of the workday. The employee may be required to walk short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. The employee will be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site. On occasion travel may be required.
