Job Description: Network Security Engineer (Fortinet/FortiGate Specialist)Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer with a strong background in Fortinet/FortiGate firewalls and related security solutions. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of hands-on experience in managing configuring and troubleshooting Fortinet products along with practical exposure to implementation projects. This role requires expertise in designing secure network architectures implementing firewall policies and ensuring compliance with organizational security standards.

We are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer with a strong background in Fortinet/FortiGate firewalls and related security solutions. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of hands-on experience in managing configuring and troubleshooting Fortinet products along with practical exposure to implementation projects. This role requires expertise in designing secure network architectures implementing firewall policies and ensuring compliance with organizational security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design configure and maintain Fortinet/FortiGate firewalls and related security appliances.
- Implement firewall rules VPNs IPS/IDS and security policies to safeguard enterprise networks.
- Lead and support implementation projects for new Fortinet deployments upgrades and integrations.
- Monitor and analyze network traffic to identify and mitigate security threats.
- Troubleshoot complex firewall and network security issues ensuring minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (network cloud and IT operations) to align security solutions with business needs.
- Maintain documentation of firewall configurations policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and recommend proactive measures.
- 5 years of experience working with Fortinet/FortiGate firewalls in enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP DNS DHCP VPN SSL IPSec).
- Experience in implementation and migration projects involving Fortinet solutions.
- Hands-on expertise with FortiManager FortiAnalyzer FortiAuthenticator and FortiSandbox (preferred).
- Familiarity with routing switching and load balancing concepts.
- Solid understanding of security frameworks (ISO 27001 NIST CIS benchmarks).
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex firewall and network security issues.
