Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

• Administer install configure maintain upgrade and retire Linux-based systems (RHEL/CentOS)

• Support production infrastructure including networking storage compute monitoring and system lifecycle management

• Provide technical support and problem resolution for HPC environments

• Manage and support parallel and distributed file systems (e.g. Lustre GPFS)

• Support high-speed interconnects such as InfiniBand and Omni-Path

• Administer HPC batch scheduling systems (e.g. PBSPro SLURM)

• Support Panasas/Vdura storage systems

• Implement security controls system hardening and compliance requirements

• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures

• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities

• Collaborate across teams and organizational boundaries to support mission objectives

Requirements:

• Active Secret clearance required to start

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related field

• 3 years of hands-on experience with Linux system administration (RHEL CentOS)

• Experience supporting production infrastructure (networking storage compute monitoring)

• Experience with HPC technologies including:

  • Parallel/distributed file systems (Lustre GPFS)

  • High-speed interconnects (InfiniBand Omni-Path)

  • Batch schedulers (PBSPro SLURM)

• Experience supporting Panasas/Vdura storage

• Strong technical writing and documentation skills

• Demonstrated ability to work across teams and organizations

• Self-starter with a focus on continuous improvement

• Ability to build effective relationships with technical teams and SMEs

• Security certification required

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
