Job Description

The Trade Operations Manager supports Gileads Market Access Operations (MAO) organization by ensuring compliant efficient and datadriven execution of daily trade operations activities. This role manages order evaluation inventory monitoring customer interactions returns processing and crossfunctional collaboration while upholding SOX controls and contract requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities operational rigor strategic thinking and the ability to communicate effectively in dynamic situations.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Execution

• Ensure strict compliance with contract terms and SOX controls for all daytoday Trade Operations activities.

• Evaluate daily directcustomer orders against inventory data feeds and confirm that contractual inventory limits are met.

• Monitor internal inventory and metric reports to identify potential stock shortages and proactively engage with customer buyers regarding their stocking plans.

• Partner with the sales team to understand indirect customer stocking issues and communicate relevant updates to buyers and account management.

• Review direct and indirect customer product returns and determine the appropriate credit values based on Gileads return policies.

• Collaborate with thirdparty logistics providers and datawarehouse vendors to support accurate and timely data flows.

• Support internal teamsincluding Supply Chain Legal Finance Quality IT and Auditto advance business goals and maintain operational excellence.

• Maintain high standards of customer service for both direct and indirect customers in alignment with Gilead policies.

Analysis Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Perform adhoc reporting analytics and documentation tasks based on evolving business needs.

• Serve as a resource across the Trade organization (Operations Strategy Contracting Relations) for analytics contracting strategy and recommendations.

• Analyze data from multiple sources and clearly communicate insights to crossfunctional partners.

• Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance transactional efficiency accuracy and adaptability within a dynamic business environment.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree and Six Years Experience

OR

Masters Degree and Four Years Experience

OR

PhD / PharmD

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry preferably in a trade operations or similar role.

• Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) trade data platforms (IntegriChain or ValueCentric) EDI datasets (852/867) and visualization tools (Tableau).

• Understanding of contracts regulations industry standards and standard operating procedures.

• Familiarity with pharmaceutical trade operations distribution models and compliance requirements.

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Economics Finance Engineering or related field.

• Proficiency with MS Office applications with advanced Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUP PivotTables).

• Ability to multitask selfstart and prioritize adhoc requests in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment.

• Strong analytical skills and experience working with large or complex datasets.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.r

• Ability to make decisions influence peers and solve problems collaboratively.
