Adjunct Faculty Position: College Algebra
The Mathematics Department at Covenant College invites applications for an adjunct professor to teach Accelerated College Algebra in Fall 2026.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach an undergraduate course on college algebra in the context of a Christian perspective
- Plan lessons and assignments provide effective instruction grade assignments respond to student inquiries and submit final grades
- Support retention efforts through early identification of students who are struggling offering students the needed academic support and providing positive encouragement
Qualifications:
- An appreciation and understanding of the mission of Covenant College
- An M.S. or higher in mathematics (or a related field) or completion of at least 9 hours of graduate mathematics courses from an accredited institution
- A demonstrated record of experience teaching algebra at the college or high school level
Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Interested and qualified candidates should send the following documentation to Dr. Collin Messer:

- A brief Philosophy of Christian Higher Education.
- A brief Testimony of Christian Faith and Experience.
- A brief Response to The Westminster Confession indicating agreement and any scruples with rationales.
