SUMMARY:

Forming and stamping of diaphragms.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The forming operator verifies the die set is the correct size and designation based on the part number of the traveler.
  • The Forming operator will pull the correct material from the stockroom based on the part number from the traveler. The heat code will be recorded on the traveler.
  • The forming operator will actuate the press manually and hold for the appropriate length of time according to the material thickness and die size.
  • The forming operator is responsible for identifying bad parts and crossing out.
  • Stamping operator will pull the appropriate strip from the storage rack and feed it into the

Stamper manually.

  • Stamping operator will inspect the diaphragms or end plates periodically to ensure that there are no burrs or other defects.
  • After completion of job parts to be placed in container and marked with appropriate part number and moved to cleaning department with traveler.
  • All other duties as assigned

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to read and write perform basic arithmetic and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret part specifications on travelers.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Good verbal and communication skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Desired

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Salary Range:

$18.00 - $20.00/Hour based on experience. 2nd Shift receives $1.00/hour shift differential
