Position Summary

The IRA Senior Site Supervisor provides leadership and oversight to residential staff ensuring safe supportive and wellâmanaged homes. This role is responsible for staff supervision regulatory compliance health and safety coordination documentation oversight and ensuring individuals receive compassionate personâcentered services. The supervisor collaborates closely with DSP Leads nursing staff families and individuals to support meaningful life experiences and community integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee dayâtoâday operations of assigned IRA sites ensuring quality supports and smooth workflow.
  • Supervise coach and develop staff including hiring orientation performance feedback and disciplinary support.
  • Ensure adequate staffing schedules and provide backâup/emergency coverage as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with OPWDD regulations agency policies site safety and fire/lifeâsafety standards.
  • Participate in Life Plan meetings develop Staff Action Plans and review required documentation for accuracy and billing compliance.
  • Partner with nursing staff to support individuals medical needs followâup and overall health and wellness.
  • Build positive relationships with families neighbors and community partners.
  • Support individuals with counseling behavior management plans and daily living needs.
  • Administer medications per OPWDD standards and oversee staff medication proficiency.
  • Manage individual finances petty cash grocery accounts and site budgets responsibly.
  • Monitor cleanliness safety and maintenance needs of the residences and agency vehicles.
  • Ensure incidents are reported and documented properly.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respond appropriately to emergencies.
  • Perform direct care duties as needed to support staffing and ensure coverage.

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of OPWDD regulations personâcentered planning and residential programming.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise train and guide staff effectively.
  • Flexibility to work assigned schedules extended shifts or provide coverage as needed.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment problemâsolving and professional communication.
  • Valid NYS drivers license acceptable driving record and reliable insured vehicle.
  • Ability to complete required trainings (Medication Administration CPR/First Aid SCIP driver certification etc.).
  • Physical ability to meet program demands including lifting transferring climbing stairs pushing wheelchairs and assisting individuals.
  • Professionalism reliability and a commitment to OCOs mission.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a related field and 13 years of relevant experience; or
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 35 years of related experience.
  • Leadership experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of experience and training may be considered.
