Your Role
Mallee District Aboriginal Services (MDAS) is one of Victorias largest Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations.
An opportunity to join our Swan Hill Community Cafe as a Catering Assistant is now available. This is a key role in the MDAS in-house catering program where you will provide friendly and attentive customer service to Community staff and visitors of the café. This includes preparing and serving a variety of beverages such as coffee tea and speciality drinks as well as simple snacks or light meals.
Additionally you will assist in maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the café area including tables counters and equipment ensuring health and safety standards are met.
If youre energetic proactive and friendly with a can-do attitude and a passion for Community wed love to hear from you.
Key Selection Criteria
Demonstrated experience in making barista coffee & food preparation.
Demonstrated customer service experience greeting customers taking orders and handling transactions with professionalism and courtesy.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team adapt to changing priorities with effective communication.
Qualification/s:
Food Handlers Certificate
Other Screening Requirements:
Valid Drivers License that allows you to drive in Australia.
Victorian Employee Working with Children Check card.
National Police Check.
