The Opportunity

Special job conditions:

  • Must be willing to travel as part of the positions requirement to provide service for the customers (In Quebec)

  • Must be willing to work under indifferent working conditions and hours of work

  • Must have and maintain a valid Canadian drivers license and drivers record acceptable to the Government of Quebec and ABB Fleet requirements.

How youll make an impact

The service representative intern will be responsible for assisting/supporting service work at customer sites ensuring working according to Hitachi Energy and legislative Health and Safety requirements according to the project schedule and budget and with utmost professionalism and courtesy to customer staff.

  • Support field activities including trouble shooting and repair of existing & legacy equipment assembly installation testing commissioning and start-up of new Power equipment

  • Works in collaboration with other departments (sales marketing and engineering) and bring Field Service support.

  • Good knowledge of Electric Power Equipment

  • Help maintain our equipment and build database through our maintenance software

  • Assist with reviews and comments on technical specifications prior to starting work

  • Participates in department administrative tasks

  • Follows scheduling and administrative procedures

  • Participates in technical training

  • Prepare technical reports following site work

  • Uses a great deal of analytical skills and help to make decisions on technical issues.

Your background

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Basic knowledge of electric power equipment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to travel and work under varying conditions.

  • Valid Canadian drivers license with a clean driving record.

  • Excellent communication (French and English) and teamwork abilities.
