PRODUCTION HOURLY
General Summary:JBS is seeking quality motivated people to join theJBS team. This role will involve working on a production line and performing tasks that require safe and responsible handling of knives.Ideal candidates thrive in a dynamic fast-paced work environment and are looking for a role with strong potential for growth.
Responsibilities:
- Use assortment of knives steel and a hook to perform job tasks
- Maintain sharpness of knives and develop effective knife-sharpening skills
- Operate heavy equipment
- Bag and Box product
- Properly utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Expected to work hands on at a high speed and lift over 50lbs
- Maintain clean work areas and adhere to all food safety protocols
- Must adhere to JBS specifications in product to ensure quality of meat
- Prepare meat for packing which may include shaving or washing
- Inspect meat or meat products and/or packaging
- Remain alert to surroundings and properly report hazards to a supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience in production settings preferred
- Prior work in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to work safely around chemicals machinery and knives
- Comfortable working in conditions with slippery floors extreme temperatures and loud noise
- Ability to work 40 hours
- Strongattendance and safety records
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
