Key Responsibilities and Duties

Project Planning & Design: Analyze survey reports maps and data to design projects using CAD software and modeling tools.

Site Inspection: Visit construction sites to monitor progress ensure compliance with design specifications and solve on-site problems.

Budget & Compliance: Prepare cost estimates for labor materials and equipment; adhere to environmental regulations and building codes.

Structural Analysis: Analyze structural systems for static and dynamic loads to ensure stability.

Project Management: Coordinate with clients architects and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and modeling software; strong knowledge of physics mathematics and materials science.

Problem-Solving: Ability to identify design issues and develop effective safe solutions.

Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership to manage project teams and effective communication skills to liaise with stakeholders.

Education: A bachelors degree in civil engineering is required.

Licensure: Many roles require professional engineer (PE) licensure particularly for signing off on plans.
