Job Summary
Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and skilled Video Editor to join our marketing team. This role will focus on creating engaging video content for our social media channels transforming raw footage into compelling stories that inspire students to pursue international education.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form videos for TikTok Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts (15-60 seconds)
- Create longer-form content for YouTube and educational webinars (5-15 minutes)
- Edit promotional videos for educational programs and university partnerships
- Add graphics text overlays captions and animations to enhance video content
- Ensure brand consistency across all video content
- Optimize videos for different social media platform specifications
- Collaborate with content creators and marketing team on video concepts
- Maintain organized video libraries and project files
- Stay updated with current social media trends and video editing techniques
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in video editing
- Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve)
- Experience with motion graphics software (After Effects preferred)
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their video requirements
- Knowledge of color correction audio editing and visual effects
- Ability to work with various video formats and codecs
- Creative storytelling abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience creating educational or promotional content
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop Illustrator After Effects)
- Understanding of social media analytics and video performance metrics
- Experience with live streaming and webinar editing
- Basic graphic design skills
- Portfolio demonstrating social media video editing work
Technical Requirements
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Professional video editing setup with adequate processing power
- Access to stock footage and music libraries (we can provide subscriptions)
- Ability to handle 4K video editing
